Sorry to write this here, but for some reason I can't access the "comments" link of that post where you say that you spilled water on your laptop.
I don't know why you hear sound, but what I can tell you is that you shouldn't use the pc for a day or so until you are absolutely sure that the water is gone. In other words: you better pull the plug. Otherwise, you might need to buy a new keyboard (water and electricity don't get along well).
There is no reason to believe that you might have any problems afterwards.
