cry, the beloved country
Oprah has chosen Alan Paton's book for her next book club. I remember reading it when I was fifteen or sixteen and really loving it. I wonder what I would think about it now. The book was made into a movie a few years ago. Haven't seen it.

Was that the movie with James Earl Jones --the only man capable of playing God-- and Richard Harris? I liked the movie. Wanted to read the book, but couldn´t find it anywhere. Now I remember that Earl Jones´ character was always called Unfundisi (or something like that; can´t guess the correct spelling). I liked that word, maybe because I never knew what it meant.
Umfundisi. I think it was a title of some sort. It's been a while.
